That's a Wrap - End of Day Braindump
For when you can't stop thinking about your projects because your brain is afraid you'll lose the thread by morning.
I made this because I kept getting to the end of the day with my mind still running. Not because I had more work to do, but because I hadn't given myself permission to stop. I'd be making dinner and still holding on to where I left off, what I was about to do next, the decision I'd just made. My brain wouldn't shut up because it didn't trust me to remember by morning.
What's inside:
Two simple prompts:
- Wrapping Up Today: What you figured out, where you stopped
- Pick Up Here Tomorrow: Where you're starting when you come back
That's it. Five minutes. One sheet.
Why it actually works:
You're not planning tomorrow - you're preserving today's momentum. Once it's written down, your brain gets permission to let go. The thought is safe. Tomorrow-you will know exactly where to start, so today-you can actually stop.
Real talk: The first time I filled this out, I wrote three sentences and physically felt my shoulders drop. I didn't realize how much energy it took to hold on to context until I had a place to set it down.
The details: 5x7" planning sheet. Available as a printable PDF or notepad (50 sheets).
